Working as a Housekeeper within this fully staffed private household offers an enjoyable opportunity to focus on professional housekeeping whilst working alongside an experienced Private Chef and a Maternity Nanny. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day cleanliness and presentation of the property, ensuring the household runs smoothly whilst allowing the family to focus on welcoming their new baby. This role is ideally suited to an organised, efficient, and flexible Housekeeper who enjoys maintaining exceptional standards within a collaborative domestic team.

Type: Temporary, Full-Time or Part-Time, Live-In or Live-Out
Working Days: Five days per week, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: Between 25 and 40 hours per week, five to eight hours per day, to be agreed with the successful candidate

This position is available on either a live-in or live-out basis. Candidates choosing the live-in option will benefit from excellent accommodation, with the family offering either a comfortable guest annex comprising a private bedroom and sitting room, or a separate bedroom within a cottage with shared communal areas alongside the private chef. Both accommodation options provide a welcoming and comfortable environment, allowing the successful housekeeper to enjoy privacy whilst being conveniently located for work.

The live-out option is equally attractive, with Newtown being one of Cambridge's best-connected residential areas. The property is easily accessible by public transport, cycling routes, and major road links, making commuting straightforward for candidates living in Cambridge and the surrounding areas.

Main duties of the Full-Time or Part-Time Housekeeper:

• Maintaining the eight-bedroom family home to an exceptional standard of cleanliness.
  
• Carrying out daily and weekly cleaning routines throughout the property.
  
• Dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all living areas.
  
• Changing bed linen and ensuring all bedrooms are beautifully presented.
  
• Managing the family's laundry, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and wardrobe organisation.
  
• Maintaining household organisation and ensuring supplies are well-stocked.
  
• Feeding the family's dog and ensuring its daily routine is maintained.
  
• Working collaboratively with the private chef and maternity nanny to ensure the smooth running of the household.
  
• Supporting the family with additional housekeeping tasks as required.
  
• Maintaining complete discretion, flexibility, and professionalism at all times.
  
• Demonstrating an excellent eye for detail whilst working efficiently and independently.
  

Requirements for this Full-Time or Part-Time Housekeeper job:

• Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
  
• Two excellent checkable references
  
• Conversational English
  
• UK working permit
