Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is offering a long-term opportunity for a reliable and professional Part-Time Housekeeper to work for a single principal residing in a two-bedroom apartment in Cambridge. This is a permanent, live-out position requiring approximately two hours of work per week, with the possibility of additional hours in the future depending on the household’s needs and the candidate’s availability.
The principal is seeking a trustworthy and dependable professional who takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented home environment. The property is a two-bedroom apartment with one main bathroom and one en-suite shower room. As the principal lives alone and the apartment is relatively small, the workload is light and intended to maintain the property in good order on a regular basis.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and organisation of the apartment and ensuring that household tasks are completed to a high standard. Particular attention should be given to working carefully with the natural materials within the home, including engineered oak flooring.
This position requires a communicative and reliable individual who will attend the scheduled working hours consistently and inform the principal in advance should any changes be required. The principal values professionalism, attention to detail, and someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality housekeeping service.
The offered salary is £20–£30 gross per hour depending on experience and professional standards. The role is expected to be self-employed.
In the future, an increase in working hours may be considered, and additional duties such as light cooking may be introduced if the principal finds the service beneficial and the candidate possesses the relevant skills.
The preferred start date is mid to late April, with flexibility for a start in early May if necessary

- Taking care when cleaning and maintaining natural materials such as wooden flooring
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of Housekeeper experience
- Fluent in English
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
- DBS check
