Job Overview:
We are delighted to be assisting a professional family who are seeking a permanent Housekeeper to provide daily support in their household. The family recently welcomed a baby, do run their own business and require an organised, discreet, and proactive professional to maintain the home to a high standard. The property is a spacious family residence with several bedrooms, two reception rooms, a dining room, kitchen/diner, home office, and a utility area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Housekeeper who is looking for a long-term placement with a busy and welcoming household.
The position is offered on a live-out basis, working approximately 30–35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm). The ideal candidate will be self-employed, providing invoices for services directly to the family.
Core responsibilities will include all aspects of housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management, bed linen changes, ironing, light family meal preparation, and occasional grocery shopping or household errands. The family also values a candidate who can maintain order in a household with a young baby, ensuring the property remains tidy, clean, and organised.

Job Details:
Job Type: Permanent, full-time (live-out).
Working Hours: 30–35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
Salary: £20–25 gross per hour (self-employed).

Duties will include:
- General housekeeping: cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining a hygienic household.
- Laundry care, ironing, and wardrobe management, including handling baby clothes separately.
- Bed making and regular linen changes.
- Light family meal preparation (fresh, simple dishes).
- Grocery shopping and household provisioning as required.
- Assisting with occasional errands.
- Maintaining household organisation on a daily basis.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household.
- Excellent references from previous employers.
- Discreet, reliable, and trustworthy with excellent attention to detail.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- DBS check
