Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a wonderful opportunity for a professional and proactive part-time live-out housekeeper in Ascot, Berkshire. This permanent role is based in a beautifully maintained, spacious three-storey family residence with an annex. The family are seeking a reliable, organised, and flexible candidate with a hands-on approach and a genuine love for pets.
Ascot is a prestigious Berkshire town renowned for its leafy surroundings, elegant homes, and excellent amenities. It offers a peaceful working environment while remaining well-connected to central London and neighbouring towns such as Windsor and Sunningdale.
This informal household is home to two adults and is shared with their beloved pets – two Labradors and three cats. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the home, while providing day-to-day support with errands and basic pet care.
This position is ideally suited to a housekeeper who is experienced in managing private households, takes initiative in their duties, and is comfortable working in a busy yet warm environment. The client highly values discretion, flexibility and a can-do attitude. A full driving licence is considered a bonus, and a vehicle will be provided by the family for running errands when required.
The family prefer a housekeeper who is confident with laundry and wardrobe management, is meticulous when handling delicate surfaces (no bleach to be used), and who can assist with light meal preparation such as chopping and basic prep. With flexible working hours across 5 days, this is a lovely opportunity for a housekeeper who enjoys variety in their role and working semi-independently.

Job Details:

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- General housekeeping (not all rooms require daily cleaning)
- High-volume laundry and wardrobe organization
- Ironing and changing bed linens
- Light meal preparation (e.g. chopping vegetables, pre-prep)
- Cleaning and maintaining surfaces (no bleach used)
- Running errands about 3 times weekly (returns, groceries, etc.)
- Receiving and managing deliveries
- Tidying and sorting clothing in wardrobes and storage
- Basic pet care (feeding, litter box, etc.)
- Ensuring the home is clean, well-organised, and welcoming
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Non-smoker
- Conversational level of English
- Drivers license (bonus)
