Perfect Household Staff is delighted to introduce a wonderful opportunity for an experienced, proactive, and energetic Domestic Couple to join a lovely family based near Warminster, Wiltshire. The principals, a couple with two children aged 8 and 11, divide their time between London and their historical estate in the South West. The estate is surrounded by the rolling countryside and picturesque villages, offering a serene and beautiful environment.
The family seek two flexible, team-spirited professionals with a positive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and a flair for going the extra mile.
The position offers a permanent, full-time, live-in opportunity for a domestic couple who are adaptable, enthusiastic, and happy to travel occasionally with the family, including out of the UK during the summer months. The principals visit the estate from London on weekends and holidays, therefore the couple must be able to take initiative in managing the property when unoccupied and provide exceptional service when the family is in residence.
As a Domestic Couple, your key responsibilities will include the smooth running of the household, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout, and providing personal service to the family and guests. Duties will include daily housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management, household provisioning, cooking family-style meals, and occasional childcare support.
The couple will be expected to work closely with the wider estate team and must be strong team players, proactive, and flexible in approach.
A separate two-bedroom cottage is provided within the estate grounds, fully furnished and with all bills paid. The accommodation offers comfort and privacy, and children or visiting friends are welcome.

Main duties of the Full-Time Domestic Couple:
- All housekeeping duties including cleaning of all rooms, vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, changing beds, and cleaning windows (interior).
- Planning and carrying out deep cleaning and maintenance when the family are away.
- Laundry and wardrobe management, including machine and handwashing, ironing, and mending garments.
- Organisation of wardrobes, packing and unpacking, and shoe care.
- Household provisioning, including stock management, ordering of cleaning products, and maintaining supplies.
- Cooking family-style meals according to the family’s preferences, assisting with informal dining and occasional dinner parties.
- Setting and serving at tables for both informal and formal meals.
- Food shopping, ordering, and managing fridges, freezers, and storage areas to minimise wastage.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers, and reporting maintenance or equipment issues promptly.
- Driving duties including occasional trips to London mid-week.
- Assisting with childcare when the family are in residence, including babysitting, and helping with mealtimes.
- Greeting and caring for daytime and overnight guests.
- Ensuring seamless communication and cooperation with other estate staff.
Requirements for this Full-Time Domestic Couple job:
- Three or more years of private Domestic Couple experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- Valid UK working permit
- At least one driver within the couple (personal vehicle is an advantage).
