Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a professional, experienced and genuinely warm Live-In Domestic Couple to join a long-established private household in Windlesham, Surrey. This is a permanent, full-time position within a peaceful countryside residence used as a secondary home by an elderly Principal. The role is ideally suited to a friendly, patient and easy-going couple who are seeking long-term stability within a respectful and well-structured private environment.
The residence is an elegant and well-maintained country property, primarily used on a seasonal basis throughout the year. The Principal typically resides at the home for approximately two tothree months annually, with the most intensive periods of occupancy occurring during the summer months (around two months) and winter (approximately one month). During these stays, the Domestic Couple will be expected to provide a fully attentive, hands-on household service, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the home, impeccable presentation and consistent comfort for the Principal and any accompanying members.
Outside of these residence periods, the role becomes more maintenance-focused, with an emphasis on keeping the property in pristine condition, preparing it for future visits, and ensuring all household systems and interiors remain fully operational and well cared for.
The household is supported by a permanent gardener, and the Domestic Couple will be expected to collaborate effectively within this established team structure. The environment is informal yet values consistency, discretion and reliability. A long-term commitment is essential, as the previous Domestic Couple remained in post for over 20 years, reflecting the stability and mutual trust associated with this residence.

Working Days: 5 days per week (flexibility required during residence periods)
Working Hours: 40 hours per (flexibility required during residence periods)

Driving Licence: Mandatory for at least one partner
Main duties of the Domestic Couple:
• Maintaining the property to a high standard, including cleaning, dusting, hoovering and general
organisation
• Care and maintenance of carpeted flooring throughout the property
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organisation
• Preparing simple daily meals including breakfast, light dinners, soups, salads and occasional
afternoon tea
• Driving the Principal to London approximately three times per week during residence periods
• Running errands and undertaking grocery shopping
• Assisting with general household management and daily operations
• Supporting the gardener with light outdoor duties, including lawn mowing when required
• Overseeing contractors and assisting with minor household maintenance
• Ensuring the property remains well-presented and maintained during vacant periods
• Careful handling of silverware and crystal when required
• Providing discreet, calm and attentive household support
Requirements for this Domestic Couple job:
• Proven relevant experience working in private households
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Fluent English
• At least two excellent checkable references
• UK work eligibility
• Driving licence
