The household comprises two adult principals and their adult child and is centred around a substantial three-storey family home with extensive grounds and a swimming pool. Chigwell is renowned for its attractive residential setting, excellent local amenities, and convenient access to London, offering an ideal balance between countryside living and city connectivity. The family travels extensively throughout the year and is seeking a reliable Domestic Couple who can confidently oversee the property, maintain exceptional standards, and ensure the smooth running of the household during both occupied and vacant periods.

This is a permanent, full-time, live-in position offering formal employment, holiday entitlement, and excellent long-term stability. The accommodation provided is a self-contained studio flat with its own entrance, shower room, kitchen, living area, and sleeping area, ensuring privacy and independence. Working as a Domestic Couple within this household involves a broad range of responsibilities including full housekeeping, family-style cooking, pet care for a friendly middle-sized dog, household shopping, driving duties, property oversight, and light garden maintenance. One day per week will involve travelling to the family's London apartment to carry out cleaning duties and bed changes. A vehicle will be provided, therefore confident driving ability and valid driving licences are essential.

Working as a Domestic Couple in this household requires taking full responsibility for the day-to-day presentation, security, and operation of the property. Duties include maintaining immaculate housekeeping standards throughout the three-storey residence, managing laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, stock control, shopping, and household organisation. The successful couple will oversee external contractors and household staff including gardeners, window cleaners, maintenance providers, and the overnight security guard, while also assisting with household budgeting, minor repairs, pool maintenance between professional servicing visits, airport transfers, occasional entertaining, and ensuring the property remains secure and fully operational during the family's frequent absences. Main duties of the Live-In Domestic Couple:

Full housekeeping including daily cleaning, scheduled deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management
Maintaining immaculate presentation throughout a three-storey family home
Changing and rotating bed linen and towels in both the main residence and London apartment
Basic family-style cooking and meal preparation for the principals
Household shopping, stock control, and management of household supplies
Running errands and completing property-related purchases
Caring for the family’s friendly middle-sized dog including feeding, walking, taking to the vet and general wellbeing
Driving principals for airport transfers and other local journeys as required
Weekly travel to the family’s London apartment for cleaning and housekeeping duties
Monitoring and maintaining swimming pool standards between professional servicing visits
Assisting with light gardening duties including lawn mowing and minor planting alongside the gardening team
Supervising gardeners, window cleaners, contractors, maintenance providers, and external service personnel
Managing the overnight security arrangements and liaising with the security guard
Monitoring household expenditure and assisting with household budget management
Coordinating minor repairs and arranging specialist maintenance when required
Assisting with guest preparation, hospitality, and occasional family entertaining
Overseeing the security and smooth operation of the property during extended periods when the family is travelling
Working independently, proactively, and discreetly while maintaining exceptional standards at all times
