The position is a live-in role with a start date scheduled for late March to early April (potentially accommodating an earlier start in March if needed). The working hours are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., five days a week, with flexibility required for occasional weekend duties. The household consists of a beautifully appointed kitchen, breakfast room, snug, sitting room, main hall, dining room, two dressing rooms, five bedrooms, two offices, four bathrooms, and a drawing room. The Principals travel extensively and typically reside in the house from Friday through Monday afternoon.

The ideal domestic couple will bring a proven history of working to a high standard in private households, with at least 3-5 years of experience. Discretion, a proactive approach, and the ability to work autonomously to maintain the smooth operation of the household are essential qualities. Strong English language skills are required, and it is preferred that candidates demonstrate a stable work history, with continuity in their previous roles and minimal changes between jobs or families.

Key responsibilities for the couple include maintaining the residence to impeccable standards, managing household tasks, and ensuring readiness for the Principals’ arrivals. Dog sitting is a significant duty, as the household includes two large, well-trained and friendly Bernadoodles. This responsibility will often extend to weekends, for which time off in lieu will be provided. Occasional travel to a secondary residence in Oxfordshire will also be required (once per week), where light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning will be performed.

The handyman/driver will handle light maintenance tasks such as replacing lightbulbs, adjusting door handles, and liaising with contractors for utilities and security. They will also act as the primary point of contact for alarm systems and provide assistance to the head gardener. Driving responsibilities include airport transfers and other engagements, with a preference for candidates with a minimum of three years of clean UK driving experience. A car (manual or automatic) will be provided.
 

The housekeeper’s duties will include grocery shopping, managing deliveries, wardrobe care, special materials cleaning, fridge organisation, dry cleaning arrangements, and general household decluttering in preparation for the Principals' visits. Liaising with contractors and escalating issues to the PA will also form part of the role. Occasional cooking may be required, though this is not a primary duty, and culinary skills will be considered a bonus.
 

The domestic couple will be provided with private, well-appointed accommodation, and hosting occasional guests in their quarters is welcomed. Cooperation with other household staff, including a part-time PA and a head gardener, is essential to ensure the seamless functioning of the household.

Main duties of the Full-Time Domestic couple:

• Performing all housekeeping tasks to maintain the residence at an impeccable standard, including cleaning, decluttering, and preparation for the Principals’ visits.
• Managing groceries, deliveries, and fridge organisation.
• Wardrobe management, including arranging repairs, dry cleaning, and ensuring everything is in order.
• Special materials cleaning, ensuring delicate items and surfaces are properly cared for.
• Liaising with contractors and escalating issues to the PA.
• Occasionally travelling to a secondary residence in Oxfordshire to handle cleaning, laundry, and general housekeeping.

Requirements for this Full-Time Domestic couple job:

• 3 years of domestic couple experience
• Checkable references
• Expertise in dogsitting
• Strong command of English
• UK working permit
• At least 3 years of clean UK driving experience
• DBS check
