PERMANENT FULL-TIME LIVE-IN DOMESTIC COUPLE

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 gross per annum, depending on experience
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Domestic Couple to join a private family in a peaceful countryside setting near Reading, Berkshire. The family is seeking a reliable and proactive couple for a permanent live-in position, with one member working 20 hours per week as a Housekeeper and the other working 40 hours per week as a Maintenance Manager / Gardener.
The Housekeeper will be responsible for the full housekeeping of the home, including cleaning, laundry, ironing and general household organisation, ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard. The Maintenance Manager / Gardener will oversee general property maintenance, repairs, improvement projects and contractors, as well as maintaining the gardens and outdoor areas across the grounds. Both members of the couple should be hands-on, flexible and happy to support one another as required.
The family has two Principals and a very sweet and timid Ridgeback, with occasional pet sitting and care required when the family is travelling. Candidates with their own pets are very welcome. The successful couple will be provided with a beautifully renovated three-bedroom bungalow with a separate entrance and private garden. The family is offering formal employment with standard holiday entitlement and is looking for a long-term couple who will take pride in the care and presentation of the property.

Main duties of the Domestic Couple:
- Full housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry and ironing.
- Maintain the home to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- General household management and organisation.
- Oversee property improvement projects and coordinate contractors as required.
- Carry out general property maintenance and minor repairs.
- Maintain gardens and outdoor areas across the grounds.
- Provide occasional pet sitting and care for the family dog during the Principals' absence.
- Work collaboratively and provide support across household and property-related duties as required.
- Maintain a professional, discreet and respectful approach at all times.
Requirements for this Domestic Couple job:
- Previous private household or Domestic Couple experience preferred.
- Full UK driving license would be a bonus
- Professional, discreet, trustworthy and dependable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent checkable references.
