Perfect Household Staff is offering a fantastic new full-time live-in job opportunity on a private estate in Reading, West Berkshire, UK. The principals are a family of two who currently seek to hire a professional full-time domestic couple.

The property is a small well-maintained family estate with an adjoining working farm.
We are searching for a dedicated professional domestic couple, consisting of a housekeeper / cook and a house manager / handyman, who are looking for a long-term commitment. We are seeking candidates fluent in English, enthusiastic, energetic, accomplished, and pet-friendly. The candidates must be trustworthy, reliable, non-smokers, and confident drivers.
The housekeeper / cook will be responsible for household duties, including preparation and cooking on Saturday and Sunday evenings for 2-4 people. They will also assist with fruit and vegetable picking, tend to chickens, and care for one dog.
The house manager / handyman will be responsible for organising maintenance contracts for cameras, electric gates, fire and burglar alarms, the lift, internet, telephone, and pest control. They will also oversee the weekly maintenance of the indoor swimming pool, garden, equipment, as well as car and machinery cleaning.
Typically, the couple will work five days a week. On Monday to Tuesday and Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. The weekend shift will be split in to two shifts from 8 am to 12 pm, and then from 6.00 pm to 10.00 pm. Wednesdays and Thursdays are days off, with one weekend off per month.
Accommodation is provided, which is a beautiful modern 4-bedroom detached cottage on the estate, including a garage and garden, with all bills paid.

Main duties of full-time live-in Domestic couple:
- Preparing meals
- General household cleaning, dusting and polishing
- Keeping kitchen clean and organised as well as kitchen equipment
- Cleaning the bathrooms, including maintaining the bath, basin and toilet in a sanitary condition
- Undertaking the laundry, washing and ironing
- Changing bed linen regularly
- Keeping cupboards and drawers tidy and well-ordered
- Maintenance the car and machinery cleaning
- Organising maintenance contracts for devices
- Liaising with contractors for any maintenance issues
- Competence in the tech area such as television, printers
- Maintenance of the indoor swimming pool
- Running errands
Requirements for this Housekeeper / Cook job:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Having longevity in previous roles
- Excellent checkable references
- DBS check
- UK working permit
