PERMANENT PART-TIME LIVE-OUT FAMILY COOK

RICHMOND | LONDON | GB

Salary: £30–£35 per hour

A welcoming family household based in Richmond upon Thames is searching for an experienced, warm and reliable Family Cook on a self-employed basis to prepare everyday meals for the household on a long-term basis.
The property is situated in a highly desirable part of Richmond, known for its green surroundings, excellent local amenities and easy access into central London. The home offers a comfortable, well-equipped kitchen and provides a calm, uninterrupted working environment for a good portion of the day.
The family is seeking a genuine, home-style Family Cook rather than a formally trained chef, with a focus on wholesome, everyday family meals rather than fine dining or entertaining. The successful Cook will typically work independently during the first part of the day, preparing lunch and dinner and leaving food ready on the stove or in the fridge for the family to help themselves throughout the day and evening. No table service is required.
This position would suit a consistent, dependable Cook who takes pride in nourishing home cooking and is comfortable managing their own time and priorities without close supervision. Confidence with grocery shopping and a good understanding of quality, fresh ingredients is important, as the Cook will be responsible for sourcing what is needed for the week's meals.
The preferred schedule is 9am to 2pm across four days per week, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, offering a consistent, structured routine. An after-school Nanny is also present within the household, and the successful Cook should be comfortable liaising with them where relevant to household routines.
Entertaining is only an occasional feature of the role rather than a regular requirement, and there are no formal childcare, pet-care or driving responsibilities attached to this position.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, personable Family Cook seeking a stable, long-term part-time position within a warm and appreciative household that values good, honest cooking and genuine reliability.
Only applicants with a valid right to work in the United Kingdom and who are happy to be self-employed will be considered for this position.
