Job Overview:
A high-net-worth family relocating from Edgbaston to Tidbury Green, West Midlands, is seeking an experienced live-out private chef to join their household on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is offered on a fully employed basis, with standard paid holiday entitlement, providing long-term stability and a professional working environment.
The household comprises four adults and three children, with a fourth child potentially on the way. The family is informal, yet expects professional standards in food preparation and presentation. They value a healthy, nutritious, and balanced diet, with a focus on accommodating individual dietary requirements. One family member follows a strictly vegan and gluten-free diet.
The chef will be responsible for preparing breakfast and dinner throughout the week, with lunch being required only during school holidays when the children are at home. In addition, the chef will prepare meals for the household staff, which includes a nanny, two housekeepers, and a live-in governess. Monthly entertaining is expected, catering for approximately 12 people. Knowledge and experience of Indian cuisine would be considered a strong advantage.
The household is fully supportive of the chef in terms of kitchen equipment, with any necessary additions being provided to ensure smooth operations. While live-out, the chef may benefit from driving experience due to the property’s location.
Fluency in English is essential, and flexibility to adapt menus and dietary plans to the family’s preferences is required.

Main duties of the Full-Time Chef:
- Preparing breakfast and dinner for the family on a daily basis
- Preparing lunch during school holidays when the children are at home
- Cooking for the household staff, including a nanny, two housekeepers, and a live-in governess
- Planning and preparing menus that are healthy, nutritious, and balanced, catering to individual dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten-free
- Monthly entertaining for up to 12 guests, ensuring high-quality presentation and service
- Menu planning, grocery shopping, and kitchen organisation
- Ensuring all food hygiene standards and health and safety requirements are met
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and liaising with the household regarding any necessary additions or upgrades
Requirements for this Full-Time Chef job:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in HNW/UHNW households
- Excellent checkable references
- UK working permit
- Full UK driving licence would be a bonus
- Non-smoker
