Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a lovely opportunity for a professional Nanny Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming family based in the charming town of Brentwood, Essex, known for its leafy surroundings and family-friendly atmosphere.
The family consists of a mother and her two daughters aged 3 and 15 years old. They are seeking a caring and reliable Nanny Housekeeper to work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., totalling 15 hours per week. The salary offered is £20 gross per hour. The role will be approximately 70% childcare and 30% housekeeping.
The main responsibility will be caring for the youngest daughter, who is nearly three years old. Duties will include engaging her in age-appropriate activities, taking her to local parks, and supporting her development through play. The candidate will also prepare breakfast and lunch for the family, with meals mainly focused on the youngest child. The eldest daughter leaves early for school and is not usually present during working hours.
The family has a friendly golden retriever; however, a dog walker attends twice daily, so no pet care is required. The family also travels approximately every two months for 5–7 days and would appreciate a flexible candidate who can accompany them and assist with childcare during these trips.
Light housekeeping will form part of the role, including general tidying, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organised home. The kitchen features marble surfaces, therefore confidence in the correct care of marble is required. The family is open to either a self-employed candidate or providing an employment contract. Live out Nanny / Housekeeper duties may include:
- Providing attentive care for the youngest child (nearly 3 years old)
- Organising age-appropriate games and simple educational activities
- Taking the child to local parks and outings
- Preparing breakfast and lunch for the family (primarily for the youngest child)
- Maintaining a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment
- Carrying out light housekeeping duties including hoovering, dusting, and laundry
- Keeping living areas tidy, organised, and presentable
- Cleaning and caring for marble kitchen surfaces appropriately
- Accompanying the family on travel every two months (5–7 days) and assisting with childcare
- Being comfortable working in a home with a friendly golden retriever (no pet care required)
Requirements for this Part-Time Nanny / Housekeeper job:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Nanny Housekeeper in private households
- Fluent in English
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
- DBS check
