PERMANENT LIVE-IN NANNY-HOUSEKEEPER JOB

SALARY: CHF 5,000 PER MONTH (NEGOTIABLE)
A lovely family in the Canton of Ticino, Switzerland is looking for a warm, caring live-in Nanny-Housekeeper to help look after their two children and do some housekeeping too. They also have a dog, so it would be great if you're comfortable around animals.
This is a full-time, permanent, live-in job. You will get your own private bedroom and bathroom, plus meals included. The family really wants someone who will stick around long-term and grow with them.

Working Hours: 51 hours per week on average, agreed in advance according to the family's needs

Salary: CHF 60,000 gross per annum, paid monthly (CHF 5,000/month); Negotiation is possible

The Duties:
- Providing attentive, safe, and age-appropriate care for two children, supporting their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing at all times
- Planning and supervising educational, creative, and recreational activities suited to each child's age and stage of development, including outdoor activities
- Supporting daily routines — meals and snacks, dressing, personal hygiene, naps, and homework where applicable
- School runs, extracurricular activities, medical appointments, and other scheduled engagements as required
- Light housekeeping duties relating to the children and household, including preparing children's meals, tidying bedrooms and play areas, washing and ironing children's clothing, dishwasher duties, and keeping the kitchen tidy
- Helping care for the family dog — feeding, walking, fresh water, and accompanying to vet appointments where needed
- Working full-time with flexibility around the agreed weekly schedule based on the family's needs

- The family will cover the cost of any agreed relevant professional training, including paediatric first aid, where appropriate
Overtime & Additional Hours:
Any hours worked beyond the regular schedule are compensated either with equivalent time off or at the standard hourly rate. Overnight hours where you are simply on hand to supervise sleeping children (without active duties) are paid at 40% of the hourly rate; any hours where you are actively caring for the children overnight are paid at the full hourly rate.

- Genuine, hands-on childcare experience, ideally within a private household setting
- Comfortable providing light housekeeping alongside childcare duties
- Comfortable and warm around dogs
- Valid EU passport and eligibility to obtain the necessary Swiss work permit
- Full commitment to confidentiality and discretion regarding the family's personal and private affairs
- No smoking or alcohol consumption permitted within the family home while working
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland or internationally when required, with all associated costs covered by the family
