Key Responsibilities:

• Providing exceptional care and support for the mother and newborn, both day and night, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritised.
• Offering guidance and advice on newborn care, breastfeeding, sleep routines, and general baby care.
• Assisting with establishing sleep schedules, feeding routines, and creating a calm and secure environment for the baby.
• Managing the baby’s daily needs, including feeding, changing, and ensuring they are safe and comfortable at all times.
• Collaborating closely with the family to understand their parenting preferences and aligning with their approach.
• Providing support with the mother’s recovery post-birth, offering help with light household duties when required.
• Keeping a detailed log of the baby’s daily routine, including feeding, naps, and milestones.
• Ensuring the baby’s environment is clean, safe, and well-organised.
• Offering emotional support and confidence-building advice for first-time parents.
• Coordinating with the rest of the household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

 

Minimal Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Maternity Nanny or Maternity Nurse in private households.
• Experience working with high-profile families and an understanding of the confidentiality and professionalism required.
• Strong knowledge of newborn care, including feeding, sleep routines, and infant health and safety.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well with other domestic staff and the family.
• A calm and patient manner, with the ability to respond flexibly to the family’s needs.
• Ideally, a recognised qualification in childcare or a relevant field (e.g., Maternity Nurse qualification).
• Valid UK working permit.
