FULL-TIME MATERNITY NANNY JOB
EDINBURGH | SCOTLAND | UK
Salary: up to 70,000 annually gross
Type: Live-Out, Full-Time, Permanent

Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to offer a prestigious opportunity for a qualified Norland graduate or a highly experienced professional maternity nanny to join a kind and welcoming family.
This is a live-out position caring for a delightful baby boy, who will be three months old at the start of the placement on 1 December 2025. The family are seeking a confident and knowledgeable maternity nanny with exceptional understanding of infant development, routine management, and early weaning, together with the calm, reassuring manner associated with Norland-trained professionals.
The maternity nanny will work closely alongside the mother, providing hands-on support with all aspects of the baby’s care. The successful candidate will create and maintain a consistent and nurturing daily routine, ensuring the baby’s physical comfort, emotional wellbeing, and developmental progress.
Responsibilities will include bottle preparation and sterilisation, maintaining a clean and orderly nursery, baby laundry, and supporting feeding and nap routines. The nanny will also engage the baby in age-appropriate play, sensory stimulation, and gentle developmental activities. In addition, the maternity nanny will assist with the introduction of solids, offer advice on best practices for sleep and feeding, and provide reassurance and professional guidance to the parents where appropriate.
The family will be based in Dubai from 1 December 2025, and the successful candidate will travel with them. The family will provide accommodation and cover travel expenses. This will be a single, one-time travel arrangement.
The family will return to the UK on 1 February 2026, and the maternity nanny will then continue the placement in Edinburgh.
This is a full-time position working five days per week, consisting of four weekdays (Monday to Friday, with one weekday off to be agreed) and one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Working hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm, for a total of up to 50 hours per week.
The salary offered is up to £70,000 gross per annum, depending on experience. The family intends to employ the successful candidate on a formal contract.
Although this is a live-out role, the family are willing to reimburse reasonable relocation transport costs should the successful candidate decide to move to Edinburgh for the position. The nanny will, however, be responsible for arranging their own accommodation. The family may occasionally travel and would appreciate flexibility to accompany them if required; this will be discussed in advance. There are no pets in the household and no driving duties will be necessary.
For the right candidate, the family would be pleased to extend the position beyond the maternity period, offering the opportunity for a long-term and stable engagement.
The ideal candidate will be a warm, discreet, and professional maternity nanny who can offer structured, developmentally appropriate care while working in harmony with the family. A Norland qualification or equivalent early years training is highly desirable.
A good command of English is essential, and Mandarin would be considered an advantage.
This is a superb opportunity for a dedicated maternity nanny seeking a rewarding position with a respectful and appreciative family who value excellence in childcare and professionalism in approach.
