The family also has a very friendly dog, so applicants should be comfortable around pets and happy to assist with occasional walks and ensuring the dog's food and water are topped up when required.
The role is primarily focused on maintaining a consistently clean, tidy, and well-organised home through high-quality housekeeping. On occasion, the successful candidate may be asked to provide evening babysitting for approximately one to one and a half hours. Main Duties of the Housekeeper/Nanny:
- Carrying out thorough cleaning throughout the home to an excellent standard.
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining all rooms in immaculate condition.
- Ensuring the home remains clean, tidy, and well organised at all times.
- Managing general household upkeep using a proactive and organised approach.
- Working independently and taking initiative to identify and complete tasks.
- Providing occasional evening babysitting for the family's two young children.
- Caring for the family's friendly dog when required, including occasional walks and topping up food and water.
- Monitoring household supplies and informing the principals when replenishment is required.
- Maintaining discretion, professionalism, and respect for the family's privacy.
Requirements for this Housekeeper/Nanny Job:
- Minimum of 5 years' professional housekeeping experience within private households.
- Excellent spoken English.
- Positive, friendly, and easy-going personality.
- Honest, trustworthy, discreet, and punctual.
- Comfortable working with children
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Comfortable working around dogs.
- At least two excellent, checkable references.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
