Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, organised, and proactive Housekeeper Nanny to join a warm and welcoming private household based in Winchester, Hampshire. This is a permanent, full-time, live-out role working four days per week within a relaxed and respectful family environment.
The family is seeking an easygoing, independent, and quick-to-learn professional with excellent common sense and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the household, ensuring the property remains clean, organised, and comfortable at all times whilst also assisting with childcare-related duties for two teenage children aged 14 and 16.
The role will involve full housekeeping duties within a well-maintained five-bedroom property arranged across two floors. The family already employs cleaners once a week on Mondays, helping to reduce the heavier cleaning workload and allowing the Housekeeper Nanny to focus on the ongoing upkeep and organisation of the home. In addition to housekeeping responsibilities, the successful candidate will be required to prepare simple, healthy family dinners on working days. The family enjoys nutritious home-cooked meals and is looking for someone confident preparing fresh, balanced dishes rather than heavy or greasy food.
The household also includes two cats, and the family is looking for someone comfortable around animals who will assist with their daily care, including ensuring they have fresh food and water and maintaining clean litter trays. The employer is open to offering either formal employment or a self-employed arrangement depending on the candidate’s preference and circumstances. Additionally, the family is happy to consider covering professional travel expenses for suitable candidates attending face-to-face interviews.

Main duties of the Housekeeper/Nanny:
- Full housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, dusting, hoovering, and mopping
- Laundry and ironing to a high standard
- Maintaining household organisation and cleanliness
- Grocery shopping and household errands
- Preparing simple and healthy family dinners
- School drop-offs and pick-ups for two teenage children
- Taking children to extracurricular activities
- Monitoring household supplies and replenishing items when required
- Assisting with the care of two cats including feeding, refreshing water, and cleaning litter trays
- Working independently and proactively within the household
Requirements for this Housekeeper/Nanny job:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a private household
- Good spoken English essential
- Confident driver with own vehicle
- Trustworthy, discreet and respectful of household privacy
- Comfortable with pet care
- At least two excellent, checkable references
- Valid right to work in the UK
