Perfect Household Staff is searching for a full-time live-in Housekeeper/Nanny to support a lovely informal family residing in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This is a permanent role suited to a professional, energetic and confident individual who enjoys both housekeeping and working with young children. The family are looking for someone who is fun, reliable, and genuinely passionate about maintaining a clean and well-organised home while also providing nurturing support to the children.
The property is a two-storey, four-bedroom house. The family consists of two working parents and two young children—an 18-month-old and another child who is beginning school this September. While the primary responsibilities will include general housekeeping and childcare, the role also involves assisting with school runs, attending children’s clubs, and preparing simple family-style meals.
The position comes with private accommodation in the form of a separate annex on the premises. A vehicle (automatic) will be provided for work-related driving, and the candidate must therefore have a full driving licence and experience driving in the UK. Although the family has one small dog, there are no formal pet care duties. However, the successful candidate should feel comfortable in a household with pets and be proactive in small tasks such as refilling the water bowl when necessary.
The position is offered with formal employment, including 20 days of paid holiday per year plus bank holidays. The family would like the chosen candidate to start as soon as possible.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper/Nanny:
- Daily housekeeping (cleaning, dusting, hoovering, laundry, ironing)
- Preparing family-style meals
- School runs and nursery drop-offs
- Taking children to clubs and activities
- Ensuring children’s areas are clean and organised
- Light pet-related awareness (e.g. refilling the dog’s water bowl)
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper/Nanny job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private Housekeeper/Nanny experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Conversational level of English
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
