The family consists of two parents, a two-year-old child and a three-month-old baby, alongside a lovely family dog. The household atmosphere is relaxed, respectful and welcoming, and they are now seeking a long-term housekeeper/nanny who will become a valued part of their weekly routine. The home is kept to a high standard and the family appreciate someone who is confident working independently, takes initiative, and communicates clearly.

Working as a Housekeeper/Nanny in this home involves balancing housekeeping, organisational support, and occasional assistance with nursery collections or babysitting when needed. The role is suited to someone who enjoys varied duties across the week, is confident around young children (though no daily childcare is required), and is comfortable working alongside a friendly family dog.

A driving licence and access to a car are essential due to the need for occasional nursery pick-ups in the early evening.

Type: Permanent, Part-Time, Live-Out

Working Days: 3 days per week (flexible)

Working Hours: 15 hours per week with a potential increase

Language: English

Driving Licence: Essential + having your own car

Salary: £20 – £25 gross per hour (self-employed)

Location: Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland

Duties & Responsibilities:

Housekeeping & Household Support

Full housekeeping duties including routine cleaning, dusting, hoovering, mopping, and maintenance of all living areas
Deep cleaning of bathrooms and kitchen on a rotating basis
Laundry management including washing, ironing, folding, and care for delicate items
Organisation of wardrobes, cupboards, drawers and general household storage
Changing bedding and keeping bedrooms tidy and fresh
Using mainly eco-friendly, family-safe cleaning products
Managing household supplies and tracking stock levels
Occasional errands (e.g., dropping off parcels, collecting small items locally)

Child-Related Support

Occasional nursery pick-ups for the two-year-old (vehicle essential)
Occasional babysitting or additional hours in the evenings (pre-agreed and paid separately)
Maintaining a safe, tidy, child-friendly environment
No sole charge care required for the baby at this stage, though comfort with infants is desirable

Minimal Requirements:

3+ or more years of private Housekeeper / Nanny experience
2 excellent checkable references
Conversational English
UK working permit
DBS check
Driving licence and access to own car
