The housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the residence and ensuring that all areas of the home are presented to an excellent standard. The position would suit a professional who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality when working in a private household.
Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Maintaining the six-bedroom residence to a consistently high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Carrying out daily housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning all living areas, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
- Managing household laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and organising clothing and household linens.
- Providing professional ironing services to maintain garments to an excellent standard.
- Taking special care of antique furniture and valuable household items, using the appropriate cleaning products and methods provided by the principal.
- Ensuring the home remains tidy, comfortable, and welcoming at all times.
- Maintaining a structured approach to household routines and completing tasks efficiently.
- Supporting the household with occasional errands where required; driving would be beneficial, but is not an essential part of the position.
- Demonstrating discretion, reliability, and respect towards the principal and her family.
- Maintaining confidentiality regarding the private household environment.
- Building a trusted, long-term working relationship with the family.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
