Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a discreet, competent, and self-sufficient Temporary Part-Time Housekeeper in the peaceful and well-regarded Shandon Colonies area of Edinburgh. This position is based in the home of a warm and welcoming family of four, and will run from mid-August through to February.

The household comprises two adults and their two children, aged 6 and 8. The residence is a charming two-floor double upper, with no pets on the premises. The principals are seeking someone professional, quiet-natured, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Working as a Housekeeper in this home, you will be responsible for maintaining the property to a high standard, managing laundry and ironing, and ensuring a clean, organised and well-run environment. You will also be expected to assist occasionally with simple meal preparation, such as defrosting pre-prepared meals or making toast or scrambled eggs. Very occasionally, you may be asked to collect the children from school — the walk is approximately three minutes door-to-door.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:        

• General tidying and cleaning of all living areas
• Cleaning and organising children’s toys
• Laundry and ironing for the family
• Occasional preparation of simple meals or reheating frozen pre-prepared meals
• Very occasional school pick-up (3-minute walk from home)
• Occasional deep cleaning
• Unpacking and organising grocery deliveries 

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Quiet, professional and independent nature
• Non-smoker
• Checkable references
• UK working permit
