Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for a professional, diligent, and proactive Live-In Housekeeper to join a private household located in the prestigious coastal suburb of Killiney, Dublin, Ireland. The household comprises two adult principals who travel extensively throughout the year and spend periods of residence at the property on an occasional basis. The principals are seeking a trustworthy and detail-oriented Housekeeper who can take ownership of the household, maintain exceptional standards, and provide a reliable presence while respecting personal boundaries and privacy. Killiney is one of Dublin’s most desirable residential areas, renowned for its beautiful coastline, stunning sea views, and exclusive private residences, offering an exceptional working and living environment.
This is a permanent, full-time, live-in position working five days per week, approximately 40 hours per week. The successful Housekeeper will be provided with excellent accommodation consisting of a separate one-bedroom house located within the grounds of the property, including a living room and ensuite facilities, offering privacy and comfort. Family visits to the accommodation can be arranged by prior agreement. The property is a modern newly built four-bedroom residence with multiple reception areas, extensive glass features, patios, specialist finishes, and outdoor spaces requiring regular oversight. A driving licence would be beneficial for this role, and a vehicle may be provided. This position offers formal employment with full holiday entitlement and long-term stability within a highly respectful private household.
Working as a Housekeeper within this household involves taking full responsibility for the day-to-day presentation, organisation, and smooth running of the property. Responsibilities include maintaining immaculate housekeeping standards, managing laundry, ironing, wardrobe organisation, pantry management, household stock control, receiving deliveries and online purchases, liaising with contractors and maintenance providers, reporting maintenance issues, monitoring the property during the principals’ absence, and caring for the outdoor areas. When the principals are in residence, the role will focus more on maintaining household standards discreetly, with occasional assistance with simple cooking if required. The successful Housekeeper will also be expected to assist with the care of a future family dog when necessary. This role would suit an organised and self-motivated Housekeeper who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of a property, and ensuring a private home remains beautifully maintained at all times.

Main duties of the Live-in Housekeeper:
- Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards throughout a modern four-bedroom private residence
- Daily and scheduled deep cleaning of all household areas
- Laundry management, ironing, linen care, and wardrobe organisation
- Pantry organisation and household storage management
- Monitoring and replenishing household supplies and cleaning products
- Receiving deliveries, online purchases, and ensuring all items are correctly stored
- Managing household stock levels and maintaining organised household systems
- Caring for specialist household finishes including marble, wood, stone, glass, and luxury surfaces
- Cleaning and maintaining extensive glass features, patios, and exterior household areas
- Liaising with contractors, tradespeople, and maintenance providers
- Reporting maintenance issues promptly and overseeing works when required
- Acting as a trusted presence within the property while the principals are travelling
- Conducting regular housekeeping and property checks during periods of absence
- Providing occasional assistance with simple cooking when the principals are in residence
- Assisting with the care of a future family dog when required
- Maintaining household security, organisation, and overall presentation at all times
- Working independently while respecting the principals’ privacy and personal boundaries
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a high-standard private residence
- Maintaining professionalism, discretion, honesty, and exceptional attention to detail throughout all duties
Requirements for this Live-in Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Proficient level of English
- Driving Licence is beneficial
- EU or UK residency
