Job Overview:
A warm and respectful family based in the Channel Islands is seeking a professional Part-Time Housekeeper to support elderly parents living in a well-maintained bungalow. The role has arisen due to changing mobility needs and the desire for consistent, reliable household support rather than ad-hoc cleaning. The household is calm, private, and values discretion, trust, and continuity.
Working as a Part-Time Housekeeper in this household will involve providing hands-on domestic support while respecting the principals’ independence and dignity. This is not a cleaning-only role but a true housekeeping position, focused on maintaining day-to-day order, assisting with household routines, and offering light practical help to make daily life easier. The successful candidate will work afternoons, allowing the principals to take mornings at their own pace.
Due to the island location and the need to assist with errands and short local journeys, a valid driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

Duties Include:
- General housekeeping to a high domestic standard
- Laundry management, including washing, ironing, and linen care
- Changing and managing bed linen when required
- Keeping the household organised and well maintained
- Assisting with unpacking deliveries and household items
- Supporting with light errands and local trips (e.g. supermarket drop-off and collection)
- Maintaining discretion and sensitivity within an elderly household
- Communicating clearly and respectfully with the principals
Minimal Requirements:
- Minimum three years’ experience working as a private Housekeeper
- Driving licence + access to a vehicle
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK right to work
