SALARY: up to £40,000 annually gross
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to offer an exceptional opportunity for a professional live-in housekeeper to join the team at a large estate on the island of Guernsey, Channel Islands. This permanent position involves maintaining the estate to an impeccable standard, including classic housekeeping duties, special materials cleaning, professional ironing, and occasional light cooking. The role requires up to 180 hours per month, typically worked Monday to Friday with occasional weekends, totalling approximately 45 hours per week. Accommodation is provided on the estate for the housekeeper’s personal use, ensuring convenience and comfort.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent housekeeping skills, a good command of English, and driving experience to facilitate commuting and errands. A DBS certification is essential. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience, and includes 4 weeks of annual leave plus local bank holidays. Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper:
- Carrying out all standard housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, and maintaining the property in pristine condition.
- Ironing clothes and maintaining laundry to a high standard.
- Preparing simple meals as required, with occasional cooking for guests.
- Handling cleaning of delicate or specialist materials such as marble, natural wood, and stone with appropriate care and techniques.
- Working collaboratively with other household staff to ensure smooth and efficient household operations.
- Providing occasional assistance with the care of two dogs, when required.
- Managing wardrobe duties to ensure clothing is clean, neatly stored, and easily accessible.
- Supporting the household in various day-to-day tasks, as needed, and providing assistance during busy periods.
- Maintaining organisation throughout the home, ensuring items are neatly arranged and areas are clean and orderly.
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of housekeeper experience
- Checkable references
