Felbridge is a charming village known for its picturesque countryside and rich history. Nestled near the border with Surrey, it offers a blend of rural tranquility and accessibility to larger towns like East Grinstead. The village is home to the historic St. John the Evangelist Church, which dates back to the 12th century and showcases beautiful architecture.
This informal, warm household includes two working parents, two independent children (aged 11 and 14), and a small Cockapoo, who is an adored member of the family. A full-time nanny is already employed, so no direct childcare is required, but a child-friendly and approachable manner is essential. The client is looking for someone reliable, friendly, trustworthy, and well-organised—someone who will take initiative and genuinely enjoy their role.
This position is ideal for a professional Housekeeper/Cook with confidence in family-style cooking (especially high-vegetable, high-protein meals), the ability to manage household routines, and a flexible, can-do attitude. The successful candidate must be pet-friendly, possess a driving licence, and be comfortable managing tasks independently, including occasional errands and tradesperson supervision.

Job Details:
- Working Days: 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)
- Working Hours: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM (20 hours per week)
- Salary: £18–£20 gross per hour

- Child: 2 (ages 11 and 14; no childcare duties required)
- Pets: 1 Cockapoo (light care, walks, vet visits)
- Starting Date: 1st of August (flexible for the right candidate)
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- General housekeeping (tidying, dusting, hoovering, mopping, polishing)
- Making beds and changing bed linen weekly
- Cleaning 5 bathrooms and maintaining cleanliness across all living spaces
- Family-style evening cooking (healthy, high-vegetable, protein-rich meals)
- Weekly meal planning and grocery shopping (online and in-person)
- Walking the dog and occasional pet-related errands (e.g., vet visits)
- Being available for tradespeople and deliveries when required
- Occasional school sports drop-offs in the evening
- Maintaining household organisation and cleanliness throughout
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in private household
- Excellent checkable reference
- UK working permit
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Friendly, dependable, and child-friendly personality
- Must be confident cooking healthy meals
- Pet-friendly and willing to assist with light animal care
