PART TIME HOUSEKEEPER COOK JOB

Job Overview:
Perfect Household Staff are pleased to present a live-out, permanent Housekeeper/Cook position with a warm and informal family of four based in the peaceful village of Duncote, near Towcester, Northamptonshire.
The household includes two adults and two children (aged 2 and 4) and offers a supportive, friendly working environment. The successful candidate will start the day at 7:00 a.m., preparing and serving breakfast so the family can leave by 8:00 a.m. Full kitchen clean-up will follow. The housekeeper will then carry out classical housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, dusting, and general upkeep. No childcare duties are required.
Working hours are approximately 6 hours per day, split between morning (finishing around 10:00–11:00 a.m.) and evening (typically 5:00–7:00 p.m.), with some flexibility.
The home is a well-maintained two-storey property with four bedrooms, multiple living areas, a playroom, and four bathrooms. The housekeeper must be fluent in English, DBS certified, and hold a full driving licence for commuting.
The ideal candidate will be confident preparing fresh, family-style meals. The family enjoys a variety of cuisines including English, Italian, and Indian. Children’s meals are kept simple – pasta, pizzas, spaghetti Bolognese. Menus can be discussed directly with the housekeeper.
Hourly pay is £23–£27 depending on experience, with paid holiday and the option of employment or self-employment (monthly payment). The role is available for an immediate start.

Housekeeper Cook duties may include:
- Preparing and serving breakfast for the family by 07:00 a.m.
- Cleaning and tidying the kitchen after breakfast
- Performing classical housekeeping duties, including:
- General cleaning of all rooms (bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, playroom)
- Laundry and ironing
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface cleaning
- Maintaining an overall tidy and well-organised household
- Returning in the evening to prepare and cook dinner
- Cleaning and tidying the kitchen after dinner service
- Planning and preparing fresh, home-cooked meals tailored to family preferences, including English, Italian, and Indian dishes
- Cooking simple, child-friendly meals such as pizzas and spaghetti Bolognese
- Managing household cleaning supplies and informing the employer when replenishment is needed
- Attending to weekly grocery shopping (as agreed)
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the property
- Taking initiative and working independently with minimal supervision
- Commuting independently to and from the property
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- 3 years of Housekeeper experience
- Valid UK driving licence
- Fluent in English
- Checkable references
- DBS check
- UK working permit
