Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a superb opportunity for an experienced and meticulous Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook to support a welcoming couple in the rural village of Little Fenton, North Yorkshire. This live-out position is ideal for a candidate who values a peaceful environment, takes pride in delivering exceptionally high standards of housekeeping, and has a thoughtful approach to allergen-aware cooking.
The household comprises two principals who lead quiet lives and maintain a serene, wellness-oriented home. Their residence has been carefully designed with premium natural finishes including oak flooring, marble worktops and brass fittings, which require sensitive and knowledgeable care. All cleaning products used within the home are non-toxic and natural, and the household is entirely fragrance-free due to severe allergies. The couple also follow a strict diet free from gluten, sesame, and soy, and they expect all meals and stored food to adhere to this dietary requirement. The family have one well-behaved cocker spaniel and a cat, both of whom are very much part of the household, requiring gentle pet care as part of the role.
This is a highly suitable position for a calm, self-motivated and respectful candidate who understands the importance of discretion and consistency within a private residence. You will be responsible for maintaining the household to an immaculate standard, managing delicate materials and surfaces with appropriate methods, supporting light organisational tasks such as pantry stock rotation, and batch-preparing wholesome meals in line with the family’s dietary preferences. The principals value reliability, long-term commitment, and a genuine care for their home and wellbeing.
Due to the countryside location, a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this position.

Job Details:

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook:
- Daily housekeeping, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and deep cleaning of all living areas, bathrooms, and kitchen
- Special care and maintenance of high-value surfaces: polishing brass fixtures, wiping marble countertops without damaging the stone, and tending to delicate oak floors
- Use of non-toxic, all-natural cleaning products in accordance with the principals’ preferences and allergy considerations
- Daily organisation of household items and ensuring all areas are clutter-free and well-maintained
- Laundry duties including folding, airing, and rotating clothing, changing bed linens, and managing wardrobes (including seasonal changes)
- Cooking fresh, nutritious meals in advance using organic ingredients; all meals must be strictly gluten-free, soy-free, and sesame-free
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and ensuring food storage areas are hygienic and well organised
- Light pet care duties: feeding the cat and dog, letting the dog out into the garden, and occasional walking if requested
- Monitoring household supplies and informing the principals when replenishment is required
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook job:
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Checkable references
- UK working permit
- Driving license
- No strong perfume
