Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a superb opportunity for a professional Full-Time Live-Out Housekeeper/Cook to join a refined private household located in Hyde Park, City of Westminster, London. This well-maintained four-bedroom residence is arranged across one floor and requires a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to ensure it remains in pristine condition throughout the year.
The household comprises two principals (husband and wife) and two small, friendly dogs. The principals travel extensively and are away for approximately six months per year. During these periods, the Housekeeper/Cook will hold sole-charge responsibility and act as key holder of the property. This position therefore requires a trustworthy, discreet and independent professional who is confident managing a home autonomously and capable of anticipating household needs.
The role involves full housekeeping duties, structured household management and light cooking responsibilities. The successful candidate will prepare healthy Mediterranean-style meals two to three times per week, focusing on balanced dishes rich in vegetables and protein. Cooking may occasionally be for one principal only. The Housekeeper/Cook will also oversee contractors where necessary, coordinate maintenance visits (for example arranging a plumber in the event of a leak), manage household supplies and ensure the property is consistently maintained to an impeccable standard. Occasional pet care duties will include feeding and walking the two dogs.

Main duties of the Housekeeper/ Cook:
- Full housekeeping of a four-bedroom single-floor residence
- Daily cleaning and regular deep cleaning to a high professional standard
- Laundry management, ironing and wardrobe organisation
- Acting as sole charge and key holder during the principals’ extended absences
- Coordinating and supervising maintenance contractors when required
- Proactive household management and inventory control
- Grocery shopping and replenishment of cleaning products and household supplies
- Preparation of healthy Mediterranean-style meals two to three times per week
- Ensuring the home remains guest-ready and immaculately presented
- Occasional feeding and walking of two small family dogs
Requirements for this Housekeeper/ Cook job:
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- Valid UK work permit
