Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional and experienced full-time Housekeeper/Cook to join a fully staffed household in Kensington, London. This is a live-out role suited to a discreet and capable individual with a proven track record working in private homes.
The household is seeking a reliable, well-organised, and proactive housekeeper/cook with excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to support the smooth running of a beautifully maintained London home. The family travels frequently, and the housekeeper/cook must be prepared to travel for short periods of 2–3 weeks to the United States and across the EU, for which an EU or UK passport is essential. This position requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail. The candidate must also be confident in preparing healthy meals and demonstrate knowledge in the proper care of high-end furnishings such as wood, stone, and metal surfaces.
The successful applicant will have strong experience in wardrobe management and laundry care, including handling delicate fabrics and organising clothing to a high standard. The household includes a dog, so a pet-friendly attitude is important, and occasional dog walking may be required. There is also the possibility of supporting with entertaining. Overtime may occasionally be required, and any additional hours worked will be compensated either with payment or time off in lieu, depending on the candidate’s preference.
During the trial/probationary period, the candidate will be expected to provide their own uniform (black trousers and white polo shirt); following successful completion of the probation, the uniform will be provided by the principals.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook:
- Full housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, hoovering, and polishing
- Laundry and ironing, including delicate and high-end garments
- Wardrobe management and organisation
- Preparing dinners and light meals (Mediterranean, Asian, healthy cuisine)
- Care of fine surfaces including wood, stone, and metal
- Assisting with entertaining when required
- Occasional dog walking and pet-related duties
- Travelling with the family for up to 2–3 consecutive weeks at a time
- Maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Working effectively alongside other household staff
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper/Cook job:
- 3+ years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Excellent checkable references
- Conversational English
- UK working permit
- UK or EU passport (essential for international travel)
