Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, proactive, and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Cook to join a private household located in the highly desirable area of Hampstead, London (NW3 7SW). The household comprises two adult principals residing in a well-maintained three-bedroom flat and is seeking a diligent and initiative-driven professional who takes pride in maintaining a beautifully organised home environment. Particular emphasis is placed on cooking fresh Chinese and/or Japanese cuisine, making this an excellent opportunity for a Housekeeper / Cook who enjoys combining household management with culinary responsibilities. Hampstead is one of London’s most prestigious residential areas, offering excellent amenities, green spaces, and outstanding transport connections.

This is a permanent, part-time, live-out role based in Hampstead, London. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, offering 25 working hours per week. The property is easily accessible by public transport – a few minutes walking distance from Lyncroft Gardens Bus Stop, making commuting straightforward from many areas of London. Working as a Housekeeper / Cook within this household involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and household presentation while also preparing fresh evening meals on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be comfortable assisting one of the principals with meal preparation or cooking independently when required.

Working as a Housekeeper Cook in this household requires a professional, self-sufficient, and organised approach with strong attention to detail. Responsibilities include full housekeeping duties throughout the three-bedroom flat, laundry and ironing, wardrobe organisation, marble care, occasional household shopping and errand running. Daily cooking forms an important part of the role, with a focus on fresh Chinese and/or Japanese cuisine. The position may also involve occasional ad hoc assistance with entertaining and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household.

Main duties of this Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook:

  • Preparing Chinese and/or Japanese cuisine to suit the principals’ preferences
  • Assisting with meal preparation or independently cooking daily fresh evening meals​
  • Daily reset and upkeep of the three-bedroom flat including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and living areas
  • Scheduled deep cleaning of all household areas to a consistently high standard
  • Maintaining immaculate household presentation through daily resets and organisation
  • Laundry, ironing, linen care
  • Basic wardrobe management
  • Changing and rotating bed linen and towels as required
  • Care and maintenance of marble surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods
  • Organising household storage areas and cupboards
  • Monitoring household supplies and advising when restocking is required
  • Occasional household shopping and running errands
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented kitchen environment
  • Assisting with occasional entertaining and hospitality requirements
  • Working independently, proactively, and discreetly within a private household

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook job:

  • Three of more years of private Housekeeper experience
  • Two excellent checkable references
  • Conversational English
  • Valid UK working permit
