PART-TIME PERMANENT HOUSEKEEPER COOK

Salary: £20–£23 Gross per Hour, depending on experience
A private household in Wembley, London, is seeking an experienced Housekeeper Cook to join their household on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, organised and proactive professional who takes pride in maintaining a private home to a high standard and is confident with cooking.
The successful candidate will work five days per week for a total of 25 hours. The role will involve general housekeeping, laundry, ironing, household organisation and cooking several times per week. One of the family members travels extensively, so the successful candidate will also assist with unpacking and organising belongings following travel.
The household consists of two adults and two cats. The successful candidate should be comfortable around cats and happy to assist with their basic care, including ensuring they have food and fresh water and cleaning their litter trays. The household also has plants which will require regular watering.
The family follows a vegan diet, so previous experience preparing vegan food would be advantageous. However, this is not essential, and an experienced cook with a good understanding of food preparation will be considered. The family is happy to show the successful candidate how they prefer meals and household tasks to be carried out.

Main Duties of the Housekeeper Cook:
- Maintain the household to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Carry out general cleaning duties including dusting, hoovering and tidying.
- Complete laundry and ironing.
- Assist with unpacking and organising belongings following one family member's frequent travels.
- Water and care for household plants.
- Prepare meals several times per week.
- Prepare vegan meals in accordance with the family's dietary preferences.
- Feed the two cats and ensure they have fresh food and water.
- Clean and maintain the cats' litter trays.
- Maintain the kitchen and household areas in a clean and organised condition.
Requirements for this Housekeeper Cook job:
- Previous private household or professional housekeeping experience.
- Proven cooking experience; experience preparing vegan cuisine would be advantageous.
- Comfortable caring for cats and undertaking basic pet-care duties.
- Professional, discreet, trustworthy and dependable.
- Organised, proactive and attentive to detail.
- Able to work independently and manage household duties efficiently.
- Willing to work on a self-employed basis.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent checkable references.
