The family includes two young children under the age of two, and they are seeking a reliable, experienced, and detail-oriented individual to ensure their home is well-maintained and their lifestyle is supported.
The principals follow a vegetarian diet, preferring Indian cuisine and avoiding eggs, and would highly value a housekeeper cook who can assist in preparing suitable meals while maintaining a tidy and organised household.
The house is located in Whetstone, a leafy suburban area in the London Borough of Barnet, well known for its family-friendly atmosphere, excellent schools, and green open spaces. It offers a peaceful residential environment while still being well connected to Central London by the Northern Line, making it an attractive and convenient location for professionals.
Working as a Housekeeper Cook within a private family is a rewarding position requiring a professional who can balance both housekeeping and light cooking duties. This role includes cleaning, tidying, laundry, and care for wooden floors, as well as minor food preparation.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper Cook:
- Daily tidying and cleaning of the home to maintain a welcoming and hygienic environment.
- Assisting with food preparation, with a focus on vegetarian meals in line with the principals’ dietary preferences, including Indian cuisine.
- Laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and organising wardrobes.
- Care and maintenance of wooden floors and surfaces.
- Occasional babysitting for the two young children under two years old.
- Supporting the family as required, ensuring flexibility and a pro-active attitude.
Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper Cook job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper cook experience.
- Two excellent checkable references.
- Conversational English.
- UK working permit.
