PERMANENT PART-TIME LIVE-OUT HOUSEKEEPER COOK

MILL HILL | BARNET | LONDON | GB

Salary: £18–£20 per hour gross

A warm and welcoming private family based in the attractive residential area of Mill Hill, North London, is seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Part-Time Housekeeper-Cook to support the smooth day-to-day running of their family home.
Mill Hill is a pleasant and well-established part of North London, offering leafy residential surroundings, useful local amenities and convenient transport connections. The family’s spacious, multi-storey residence is comfortable, well presented and maintained as a relaxed family home, with generous living accommodation and a garden.
The principals are looking for a capable all-round Housekeeper who will take responsibility for regular cleaning, laundry, ironing, bed-linen changes, wardrobe organisation and the general presentation of the property. The successful professional should take genuine pride in creating a calm, orderly household and be confident identifying what requires attention without needing detailed instruction at every visit.
Food-related support will form a lighter but useful part of the position. This will include unpacking and organising grocery deliveries, maintaining an orderly fridge and pantry, checking expiry dates and preparing simple, healthy meals or completing basic meal preparation when required. The position does not require formal chef-level cooking, and housekeeping will remain the principal responsibility.
The family values reliability, discretion and a flexible approach. The Housekeeper-Cook should manage the available time effectively, maintain a steady routine and adapt priorities when necessary. Appropriate care will be required when cleaning marble, hardwood flooring, chrome fixtures and other specialist household finishes.
The household includes children and a small, friendly family dog. The households employs additional staff to support childcare. There are no travelling responsibilities, and driving is not essential, although confidence driving would be considered an advantage. On-site parking is available.
This opportunity would suit an established Housekeeper living locally who is seeking a stable, long-term position with regular morning hours and a respectful family household.

Only applicants with a valid right to work in the United Kingdom will be considered for this position.
