PART-TIME PERMANENT HOUSEKEEPER COOK

A welcoming private household in Overton, near Basingstoke, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced h to join their household on a permanent, part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, warm and capable professional who enjoys working in a family environment and takes pride in maintaining a home to a high standard. The position is based in a rural area, so a full driving licence and access to a car are essential.
The successful candidate will work three days per week, specifically Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, for a total of 12 hours per week. The hours are flexible across these days. The role will primarily involve general housekeeping, laundry and ironing, alongside preparing simple evening meals for a family of four.
The household consists of two adults and four teenage children, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working around a busy family home and have a natural affinity with children. The family also has an elderly Labrador who is extremely friendly and very low-maintenance, as well as two cats. Pet care is minimal and will mainly involve keeping their food and water topped up and cleaning the cats' litter trays.
The family prefers to use eco-friendly cleaning products, so previous experience working with environmentally conscious cleaning methods would be advantageous. They are looking for someone who is personable, discreet and respectful of the family's privacy, with a calm and considerate approach to working within the home.

Main Duties of the Housekeeper Cook:
- Maintain the household to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
- Carry out general cleaning, tidying and household organisation.
- Complete laundry and ironing.
- Prepare simple evening meals for a family of four.
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised following meal preparation.
- Use eco-friendly cleaning products in accordance with the family's preferences.
- Assist with general household duties as required.
- Provide minimal care for the family's pets, including topping up food and water for the Labrador and two cats.
- Clean the cats' litter trays.
- Work respectfully and discreetly within a busy family household.
Requirements for this Housekeeper Cook job:
- Previous private household or professional housekeeping experience preferred.
- Confident preparing simple family meals.
- Genuine love of and confidence around dogs and cats.
- Experience using eco-friendly cleaning products would be advantageous.
- Professional, discreet, reliable and trustworthy.
