The principal is seeking a confident Housekeeper/Cook who can take genuine ownership of the household, work independently with minimal guidance, and ensure the home remains impeccably maintained at all times. Hutton is a highly desirable residential area offering a peaceful setting, attractive green spaces, and convenient access to Brentwood and London. This role would suit an experienced Housekeeper/Cook who is confident working in sole charge, enjoys running a household efficiently, and takes pride in delivering consistently high standards.

This is a permanent, live-out, part-time position. Working as a Housekeeper/Cook within this household involves maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of a well-presented two-floor one-bedroom home while supporting the principal with practical household management. Duties include all housekeeping, household organisation, errands, receiving deliveries, liaising with contractors, and preparing simple family-style meals. Due to the property's location and the requirement to complete occasional errands, applicants should hold a full driving licence, and having their own car would be highly beneficial.

Working as a Housekeeper/Cook in this household involves taking full responsibility for the presentation, cleanliness, and organisation of the home while ensuring household tasks are completed proactively without constant supervision. Responsibilities include maintaining excellent housekeeping standards, caring for wooden surfaces, organising cupboards and storage areas, arranging dry cleaning, accepting and putting away deliveries, liaising with maintenance contractors and the gardener, occasionally watering garden plants, and managing simple family-style meals. Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook:

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the property, including scheduled deep cleaning
Daily housekeeping, tidying, and maintaining excellent household presentation
Laundry, ironing, linen care, and changing bed linen and towels
Caring for wooden household surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods
Organising cupboards, shelves, storage areas, and maintaining household organisation
Cooking simple family style meals
Running household errands, including collecting and delivering dry cleaning
Receiving deliveries, unpacking, organising, and putting items away
Liaising with maintenance contractors and reporting household issues when required
Liaising with the gardener and occasionally watering garden plants
Monitoring household supplies and replenishing essentials as required
Working independently, confidently, and proactively while taking full ownership of the household
