Perfect Household Staff is delighted to offer a wonderful opportunity for a professional Temporary Part-Time Live-In Housekeeper to join a welcoming private household in Brentwood, Essex. This position is offered on a temporary basis for approximately five months, commencing at the end of April.
The family environment is warm, respectful, and well-structured. The household currently consists of five members, though this will gradually reduce over the duration of the contract, resulting in a quieter working environment.
The property is a six-bedroom residence arranged across three floors. The successful candidate will benefit from excellent live-in accommodation within a private annex, complete with a separate kitchen, living room, en-suite bathroom, and a spacious balcony. All the household bills are also included as well as food. The family offers a comfortable and respectful living arrangement, with flexibility for occasional guests and openness to candidates with a small, well-trained dog.
This role involves a combination of hands-on housekeeping and light household coordination. Additional part-time cleaners are employed to support the overall upkeep of the home. The family owns two friendly Labradoodles, and basic pet care will be required. A driver is essential, and an automatic vehicle will be provided for all work-related duties.

Main duties of the Housekeeper/Cook:
- Full housekeeping duties including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining high household standards
- Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate garments
- Preparation and cooking of family dinners
- Liaising with external contractors (e.g. groomers, maintenance professionals, pool services)
- Assisting with household organisation and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
- Basic care of two family dogs, including feeding and general supervision
- Occasional pet care and house supervision when the family is away
- Working collaboratively with additional cleaning staff
Requirements for this Housekeeper/Cook job:
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant private housekeeper cook experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Fluent English
- Valid UK work permit
- Driving license
