The family has two daughters, aged one and nine, and is looking for a kind, reliable, and willing person who would like to build experience in a private home. This is a particularly good opportunity for someone who is new to private housekeeping and would like to learn and develop their skills while working with a family.
The housekeeper cook will help the family with simple everyday household tasks. The work includes basic cleaning, laundry, ironing, folding clothes, and sending clothes to the dry cleaners when needed. Cooking is also part of the role, but it is simple home-style cooking rather than complicated or professional cooking. Batch cooking is welcome, so meals can be prepared in advance for the family. No special cleaning or cooking skills are required, making this a suitable position for someone who is hardworking, organised, and eager to learn.
This role is specifically suitable for someone who does not have previous private household experience. The family is open to candidates who have experience in cleaning, cooking, hospitality, childcare, hotels, or similar environments, as well as motivated individuals who are keen to learn.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper Cook:
- Basic cleaning of the family home, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and keeping rooms tidy.
- Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other household spaces.
- Washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes and household laundry.
- Standard ironing of clothes and household items.
- Taking clothes to the dry cleaners when required.
- Preparing simple, tasty, home-style meals for the family.
- Preparing meals in batches where convenient, allowing food to be cooked ahead of time.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised after cooking.
- Following the family’s preferences when preparing meals.
- Helping to keep the home comfortable, clean, and organised on a daily basis.
- Taking responsibility for everyday housekeeping tasks and completing them carefully.
- Working in a friendly and respectful way around the family.
- Being willing to learn and develop private household skills.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper Cook job:
- Previous experience in cleaning, cooking, hospitality, childcare, or a similar environment is helpful, but private household experience is not essential.
- Conversational English.
