Working as a Housekeeper Cook in a private household combines high standards of housekeeping with thoughtful, family-oriented meal preparation. This position can be offered on either a live-out or live-in basis. For candidates choosing the live-in option, the family provide a comfortable private bedroom within the house. For live-out candidates, the role is based in Exeter and is accessible locally, with amenities and transport links nearby. As the property is set within Devon, which has more rural elements, a driving licence and access to a personal vehicle can be beneficial for grocery shopping and errands. Free parking is available at the property, and in some circumstances, the principals may provide a car with automatic transmission, although driving is not a mandatory requirement.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper Cook:
- Carrying out all general housekeeping duties, ensuring the five-bedroom home is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
- Preparing healthy, well-balanced vegetarian meals for the family, taking into account the preferences of both adults and young children.
- Planning menus, shopping for groceries, and managing household supplies efficiently.
- Managing all laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and general wardrobe care.
- Liaising with and supervising contractors as required, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to standard.
- Providing minor care for the family’s pet fish, including basic feeding and oversight.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household with a flexible and proactive approach.
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper Cook job:
- Three or more years of private housekeeper experience.
- Two excellent checkable references.
- Conversational English.
- UK working permit.
