The principals are a family of two whose children live independently but visit throughout the year. The family spends approximately four to five months annually at the estate, with the property remaining largely unoccupied for the rest of the year. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the estate house, overseeing the property during the family's absence, and caring for their charming small dog. Stirling offers a peaceful Scottish countryside setting, with the historic city of Stirling and its attractions within reach. A driving licence may be useful for local travel, although driving is not an essential requirement.

Working as a private housekeeper cook offers the opportunity to take responsibility for the smooth running of a private residence while providing discreet, dependable support to the principals. The successful candidate must be willing to work over Christmas, New Year, and Easter. Holidays between mid-June and mid-October are preferably avoided, as this is the period when the estate is most occupied. Time off during this period may be possible by special arrangement with the principals.

Main duties of the Full-Time Housekeeper Cook:

Cleaning the nine-bedroom estate house, maintaining cleanliness and presentation.

Managing laundry, ironing, linen changes.
Preparing simple, home-cooked British meals for the principals when they are staying at the estate.
Overseeing the property during the family's absence.
Caring for the family's small dog when the principals are away, including providing appropriate day-to-day care.
Assisting with household preparations before and after family visits, including visits from the principals' children.
Remaining flexible regarding household requirements and providing extended availability while the principals are staying at the property.
Working reliably and independently, using initiative to identify and complete necessary household tasks.
Driving when necessary, if the successful candidate holds a driving licence, although driving is not a mandatory requirement.

Requirements for this Full-Time Housekeeper Cook job:
