Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a lovely opportunity for a reliable and versatile Housekeeper Cook to join a private family of four in St Peter, Jersey. The household consists of two adults and two young school-age children and is looking for regular support with the general upkeep of their family home. The position would suit a practical and proactive Housekeeper who enjoys combining housekeeping with simple family cooking and who takes pride in keeping a home comfortable, tidy, and well organised.

This is a live-out, part-time position based in St Peter, Jersey, ideally arranged as morning shifts of approximately three to four hours per day, 4-6 days per week depending on the professional's avilability. The family can consider alternative working patterns for the right candidate, providing some flexibility around the schedule. The working hours are designed to provide regular, manageable support throughout the week, with housekeeping and cooking duties shared across the days rather than concentrated into one or two longer shifts.

The role will focus on the smooth day-to-day upkeep of the home, with general cleaning across the three floors and four bedrooms, alongside laundry, ironing, light wardrobe organisation such as folding and putting away clothes, and changing beds. The Housekeeper Cook will also prepare straightforward, home-style breakfasts and dinners for the family, using simple, familiar dishes rather than elaborate cuisine. The family will take care of all grocery shopping, allowing the Housekeeper to concentrate on the practical running of the home. The ideal candidate will be discreet, dependable, and proactive, with a flexible approach and an eye for keeping on top of household tasks throughout the week.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook:

General cleaning and upkeep of the 3-storey 5-bedroom family home
Regular cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, and other household spaces
Occasional deeper cleaning as required
Laundry, ironing, changing beds
Light wardrobe organisation, including folding and putting away clothes
Preparation of simple, fresh family-style breakfasts and dinners
Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy following meal preparation
Maintaining general household order and presentation throughout the week
Working proactively to identify and complete routine household tasks
Managing housekeeping and cooking duties efficiently within the agreed morning hours
Maintaining a discreet and respectful approach within the family home
