The family recently relocated to London from Germany and reside in a spacious and beautifully maintained five-bedroom family residence arranged over three floors. The household is informal, relaxed, and family-oriented, offering a comfortable and respectful working environment. The principals are seeking a proactive, positive, and flexible professional who genuinely enjoys supporting family life and takes pride in maintaining a well-organised and harmonious household.

This live-in position would suit a professional Housekeeper who is confident with family-style Indian cooking, enjoys assisting with light childcare duties, and is happy to support the smooth daily running of the household. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the lady of the house and become an integral part of the family’s day-to-day life. The role is focused primarily on cooking, household assistance, organisation, and light housekeeping rather than deep cleaning, as external cleaners are employed periodically.

The household consists of two principals and two children. The family is particularly keen to find a caring, energetic, and warm-natured lady who is comfortable in a busy family household and who can demonstrate flexibility, discretion, and a positive attitude. Hindi speaking would be highly advantageous, although not essential, and candidates with knowledge of Indian cuisine will be strongly preferred.

The working schedule will generally be Monday to Friday from approximately 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., with appropriate breaks during the day. Occasional Saturdays may be required upon request. Accommodation will consist of a private bedroom within the family home with a shared bathroom.

Live in Housekeeper / Cook duties may include:

Preparing fresh daily meals for the family, including Indian cuisine
Assisting with breakfast preparation and morning household routines
Supporting the family with light housekeeping and household organisation
Maintaining tidy and well-presented living spaces
Managing laundry, ironing, washing machines, tumble dryers, and dishwashers
Assisting with childcare-related duties
Helping with school preparation and daily routines
Supervising bath time and supporting evening routines
Preparing tea, coffee, snacks, and evening meals when required
Performing light household cleaning and general upkeep
Assisting with grocery shopping and household errands when required
Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household
Potentially assisting with school drop-offs and pick-ups if able to drive
Working collaboratively and respectfully within a family environment
