This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Head Housekeeper to join a luxurious and newly built private household located in the beautiful and picturesque area of Chipping Norton, in the Cotswolds. The estate is set in a serene environment, offering a high standard of living with stunning views. The property comprises a grand home with two distinct wings—one with two floors and the other on a single level—featuring 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 dining room, a state-of-the-art kitchen, and 6 bathrooms. The house is fitted with high-end materials such as silver, crystal, marble, and natural wood, requiring meticulous care and expertise in handling these delicate surfaces.

The family, which consists of two adults and one child (currently boarding), are friendly but maintain high expectations for cleanliness, organisation, and the overall management of their home. This is a live-out role, with an accommodation allowance provided, making it ideal for someone already living in or willing to relocate to the Cotswolds area.
The family travels frequently, and the successful candidate will be informed in advance of these periods, allowing them to plan their time off accordingly. This position will see you supervising two housekeepers as part of a fully staffed household, which also includes security personnel, a gardener, a house director, a chef, and other staff members. It is crucial to work well as part of this broader team, maintaining a positive and flexible attitude.
The household operates formally, and staff are expected to wear uniforms, which will be provided by the family. The ideal candidate will be polite, professional, and experienced in working within a UHNW (Ultra High Net Worth) household. Time management, strong self-organisation, and attention to detail are essential in ensuring the smooth running of this home. You should also be capable of taking initiative and managing responsibilities independently while maintaining discretion, as the family highly values their privacy.
The successful candidate should have a hands-on approach to housekeeping, demonstrating expertise in cleaning, laundry services, and wardrobe organisation. Knowledge of serving during formal dinners or events is also a plus, as you may be required to assist with hosting duties. Furthermore, experience in packing and unpacking, handling designer clothing, and managing high-value items is crucial.
The position requires a 50-hour work week, typically from 8 am to 6:30 pm, with some flexibility for later hours depending on the household’s needs. You may be asked to work weekends on occasion, particularly during family events or periods of travel. Staff holidays are typically scheduled around the family’s vacations, allowing for a deep clean of the house before the break.
This is a permanent position offering a highly competitive salary, between £65,000 and £70,000 gross per annum, depending on experience. In addition, an accommodation allowance is provided for candidates living nearby or willing to relocate to the area.

Main duties of the Full-Time Head Housekeeper:

- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of high-value items such as silverware, marble, crystal, and designer wardrobes.
- Ensuring smooth coordination with other staff members, including security, gardeners, and chefs.
- Upholding strict confidentiality and ensuring the privacy of the family at all times.
- Adhering to the security protocols and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the House Director.
- Providing assistance during family stylist visits.
- Remaining flexible and adapting to changing schedules and household needs.
Requirements for this Full-Time Head Housekeeper job:
