Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, proactive, and initiative-driven Housekeeper to join a welcoming private household in Kensington, London. The household comprises two adult principals who have recently moved into the property and are looking for a reliable Housekeeper to help maintain the home to a consistently high standard while also bringing a little additional organisation to the household. The property is located in one of London’s most desirable areas, close to High Street Kensington, with excellent local amenities, cafés, restaurants, and beautiful green spaces nearby. This is a pleasant opportunity for an experienced Housekeeper seeking a long-term position within a friendly two-adult household.
This is a permanent, full-time, live-out position working five days per week, approximately 40 hours per week. The working day can begin at either 8:00am or 9:00am, offering some flexibility around the start time. The property is conveniently located close to High Street Kensington Underground Station and is easily accessible by public transport, making it straightforward to commute to. Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves maintaining the home, supporting with laundry and ironing, keeping household areas organised, and assisting with the smooth day-to-day running of the property.
Working as a Housekeeper in this household involves regular cleaning and upkeep throughout the home, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, maintaining bathrooms and living areas, and cleaning after meals. The Housekeeper will also assist with simple meal preparation and occasional breakfast preparation, as well as folding and putting away laundry and clothing. Additional responsibilities include caring for the garden driveway, watering plants, liaising with maintenance professionals, and occasionally walking the family’s small dog. The role would suit a physically fit, proactive Housekeeper who takes initiative, works efficiently, and is comfortable helping to organise the home as the family settles into their new property.

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Regular cleaning and upkeep of all household areas to a consistently high standard
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and general household cleaning
- Cleaning and maintaining bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other household spaces
- Cleaning the kitchen and tidying after family meals
- Laundry, folding, basic ironing, and putting clothing and household items away
- Changing and maintaining bed linen and towels as required
- Assisting with wardrobe organisation and keeping household storage areas tidy
- Occasional preparation of breakfast and simple meal preparation
- Cutting and preparing ingredients for further cooking
- Maintaining general household organisation and helping to arrange items within the newly occupied property
- Care and maintenance of marble and wooden surfaces
- Mopping and maintaining the garden driveway
- Watering plants and assisting with general household plant care
- Occasional walking and basic care of the family’s small dog
- Receiving and liaising with maintenance professionals and contractors when required
- Monitoring household supplies and reporting any requirements
- Working proactively and using initiative to support the smooth running of the home
- Maintaining a professional, discreet, and well-organised approach at all times
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper:
- Minimum of 3 years of private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Conversational level of English
- Legal right to work in the UK
