Vacancy: Private Housekeeper, Live IN
Type: Full Time, Live In, Permanent

Our new clients’ main residence is located in Gibraltar however, the principals travel frequently to Europe and therefore we are looking to source a candidate who is flexible and has all necessary documentation to travel. The family of 4 are looking to find a housekeeper who is experienced, well organised and who has a wealth of experience managing a luxury wardrobe as well as taking care of exclusive furniture.
Housekeepers who have experience in silver service, meeting and greeting guests, packing and unpacking suitcases will have priority for interview which will be initially held virtually.
Due to one of the principals speaking Russian, it would be considered a bonus for the chosen housekeeper to speak Russian with the children and other members of staff.
A housekeeper job may include housework duties:
Household Shopping
Dry Cleaning/Laundry/Washing/Ironing and care for wardrobe clothes (note much of the clothing is high quality and expensive)
Run errands as required by the family
Organise and day to day management of the household
Kitchen cleaning, (eg, wiping down surfaces and white goods, loading the dish washer, washing some items by hand, checking use by dates).
Keeping the general areas clean and tidy (eg. returning misplaced items, emptying the bins, dusting, wiping away marks, watering plants, dusting doors, removing finger prints from likely areas)
Keeping bedrooms clean and tidy (eg. changing of the bed linens, taking away dirty laundry, dusting, replacing water and toiletries)
Cleaning of upholstery (eg. hoovering, leather cleaning, steam cleaning, wiping )
Cleaning of the carpets and floors (eg. hoovering, vacuuming, wet washing/mopping, solvent cleaning, wiping down skirting boards etc..)
Taking stock check of pantry and useable items.
Basic cooking
Any other associated duties as required by the family
It is important to note that the family have two large dogs (who are not domestic) therefore they would prefer for the housekeeper to be confident around animals.
As per Perfect Household Staff basic requirements all applicants must have or be ready to apply for:
Working permit
At least 3 years of housekeeping experience
DBS Certificate or equivalent
Necessary Visas
Good eye for detail
Excellent time management
Knowledge of cleaning products
Knowledge of taking care of delicate furniture / using correct products
Knowledge of taking care of delicate clothing
