The family is seeking a professional couple with a proven background in private households who are calm, adaptable, and know how to "read the room", delivering seamless support with warmth and discretion.
Nestled along the Adriatic coastline, Trieste is a historic port city known for its distinctive blend of Italian, Austrian, and Slovenian influences. It boasts stunning architecture, charming piazzas, and a relaxed seaside atmosphere, making it a delightful place to spend the summer. The property is set in a peaceful and scenic area just outside the city, offering privacy and tranquillity throughout the placement.
This role is perfectly suited to a well-established Domestic Couple who thrive in a private service environment and are confident managing all aspects of household care and food preparation. One individual will oversee all housekeeping responsibilities including cleaning, laundry, and property maintenance, while the other will take charge of preparing daily meals for the family in accordance with their preferences, including traditional Italian cuisine. Flexibility, mutual respect, and cooperation will be essential in ensuring a smooth-running household throughout the summer months. The successful couple will be provided with a private self-contained studio apartment, complete with a fully equipped kitchen, private bathroom, and a pleasant outdoor area, offering a high level of privacy and comfort throughout the duration of the placement.
Only candidates who have the eligibility to work in the EU will be considered for this role.

- Working Days: 6 days per week
- Working Hours: 50 hours per week (with flexibility)
- Salary: £13,000 gross (entire contract)

- Contract End: 5th September 2025
Main duties of the Domestic Couple:
- Daily housekeeping to a high standard including cleaning, tidying, and property upkeep
- Laundry and ironing, including wardrobe management
- Preparing fresh, nutritious meals daily, with a strong focus on Italian dishes
- Shopping for groceries and household supplies
- Running errands and managing deliveries
- Supporting the family and their guests with discretion and emotional intelligence
- Ensuring the property remains organised, well-stocked, and guest-ready at all times
- Reporting any maintenance or repair issues as they arise
Requirements for this Domestic Couple job:
- 3+ years of relevant private housekeeping and cooking experience
- Excellent checkable references
- Strong knowledge of Italian
- EU working permit
