This is a permanent live-in position, offering an excellent salary of up to £80,000 gross per annum, and is ideally suited for a capable and hands-on couple who possess a strong sense of initiative and sound judgement. The estate, which is one of the largest on the island, requires thorough and proactive care, including overall household care, running errands, occasional maintenance, and collaboration with external contractors.

The successful couple will be responsible for overseeing property upkeep, addressing any on-site issues with efficiency, and ensuring the smooth operation of the residence. Duties will include cooking simple, high-quality English meals, general house maintenance, wardrobe management, and occasional ad-hoc tasks. Additional responsibilities involve working alongside existing staff, which includes cleaners, gardeners, two housekeepers, and a chef. The estate is home to friendly medium-sized Labradors, and the couple should be comfortable with pets.
The ideal candidates will be professional, quiet, and capable of fostering a calm and respectful environment. Discretion is paramount, as the principal values a no-fuss approach. A driving licence is required for at least one person in the couple, as the role may involve errands and managing aspects of the property that require mobility. Fluency in English is essential, and a current DBS certificate is required.
This position offers 5-6 working days per week, with schedules tailored to meet the household's needs. The family is seeking candidates available for interviews, with a planned start date in mid-January.
