Our new clients, a friendly and relaxed family with three children, a boy aged 8 and twins aged 7, are looking for an energetic governess / governor to join their household. The family live between two properties in Nottinghamshire, UK and Largo, Portugal. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional governess who enjoys traveling.
For the first 8 months a governess will be responsible for preparing the older child for a boarding school starting in September 2022. After the candidate will be expected to focus on the twins education. The family are looking for an educated governor / governess with good knowledge of the UK teaching methods and experience working in a school as well as a private family.
The ideal candidate will be highly qualified, have excellent references from previous employers and be a good team player as there is a fully staffed team of domestic helpers.
A separate self-contained apartment and a private en-suite bedroom will be provided in the UK and Portugal.

Live In Governess Job Duties:
- Tutoring core subjects
- Organising spare time
- Monitoring and attending extra curriculum clubs/activities
- Planning and reporting to the parents
- Traveling with the family
Live In Governess Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years a governess experience in private families
- Excellent references
- Proactive, friendly, sporty
- Driving licence will be a plus
- Team player
- Fully vaccinated
- Knowledge of the British school curriculum
