Perfect Household Staff is delighted to announce a new full-time, live-out Laundress vacancy based in a magnificent private residence in Holland Park, London. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly refined household where expertise in garment care and wardrobe management (75%) is paired with occasional housekeeping responsibilities (25%).
The successful candidate will possess extensive fabric care knowledge, confidence in working with designer clothing, and a calm, detail-focused approach. The household includes a teenage child, one small dog, and a team of staff.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Live-Out
Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm; weekend flexibility may be appreciated
Location: Holland Park, Greater London
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 gross per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Employment contract provided

Key Responsibilities:
1. Laundry Management
- Oversee full laundry cycle: washing, drying, folding, ironing, and steaming
- Sort garments by fabric type, colour, and washing instructions
- Maintain household linen inventory
2. Fabric Care Expertise
- Care for luxury and delicate fabrics including silks, cashmeres, linens, and blends
- Handwash or arrange dry cleaning for speciality garments
- Use appropriate eco- and fabric-safe cleaning agents
3. Stain Treatment
- Identify and treat stains using suitable methods and products
- Keep track of any recurring issues or care instructions
4. Ironing and Presentation
- Press and steam garments to a flawless finish
- Ensure all wardrobe items are returned impeccably clean, ironed, and well-organised
- Provide support in seasonal rotation of clothing and wardrobe upkeep
- Housekeeping Support (approx. 25%):
- Assist with tidying of laundry and wardrobe areas
- Provide light support with occasional bedroom/bathroom refreshes
- Help maintain an overall clean and efficient home environment
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Laundress in a private UHNW or VIP household
- Expertise in fabric care, stain removal, and wardrobe management
- Strong understanding of pressing, folding, and professional garment presentation
- Organised and efficient in managing time and laundry volume
- Pet-friendly
- Fluent in English
- Clean DBS and right to work in the UK
