Ukrainian refugees who have been allowed to enter the UK under the "Ukraine Family" and the "Homes for Ukraine" schemes will be allegeable to work in the UK. This means that our employers are legally allowed to offer Ukrainian housekeepers jobs in the private industry.
As with all of our professional domestic staff, every housekeeper from Ukraine will be interviewed by our professional domestic recruitment consultants. Our recruiters will check that the housekeeper from Ukraine who you would like to hire will have all of the documentation required to be employed in the UK and where possible, references will be checked.
It is also important to note that the UK government has authorised a payment of £350.00 for the families who will be willing to provide free accommodation and sponsor the refugees from Ukrainian for a period of at least 6 months.

What to check when hiring a housekeeper from Ukraine?
The Applicants right to work:
- Ensure that all of the documents are original
- Ensure that the documents are legitimate, unchanged and represent the person who is applying for the job
- Ensure that the dates have not expired
- The photos are the same across all documents and resemble the person who is applying for the job
- Pay attention to the date of birth across all documents
- Ensure that they can work in the position that they are applying for and are not exceeding the working hours permitted
You do not need to check for existing employees if they came to the UK before 1 July 2021.

- Every charity which has raised over £5,000.00 must be registered and is regulated by the charity commission

Who is allegeable to help with housing?
Citizens in the UK who have a spare home, flat or room can help refugees from Ukraine as long as:
- You can offer accommodation for at least 6 months
- If you are not a British citizen but you have leave to remain status in the UK for at least 6 months
